Farm Park & Activities
Cholderton Charlie's is a Rare Breed Survival Trust (RBST) registered Rare Breeds Farm Park, and is part of the Cholderton Rare Breeds Farm Experience. We offer a fantastic quality day out, or even a weekend getaway suitable for all ages and interests, no matter what the English weather has in store for us!
From our super-friendly animals to feed, pet and cuddle, to our beautiful newly planted Vineyards and Nature Trails we have something for everyone to enjoy! Our animals include Rare Breed: Ponies, Goats, Sheep, Pigs, Donkey, Chickens, Ducks, Rabbits, Geese and of course, our now infamous Highland Cow, Agnes.
As an added bonus, we also have plenty of play equipment and adventure play areas for all to enjoy, including our three-storey indoor Play barn, our exhilarating 500-foot-long, 32-foot-high Tree Top Trail, Treehouse, Zip-Line and Nest Swing! We also have lots of other play equipment scattered around The Farm, including: Climbing Frames, The Sandpit, Molly the Milkable Cow, Obstacles, Trampolines as well as our Nature Trail, Woodland Walks, Water Gardens and so much more!
Try to see if you can find the wild badgers, deer, foxes, squirrels, peacocks, stoats and many other wild animals, hidden around The Farm.
Conveniently located on-site, we also have our Ewe Tree Café & Bar, which is open every day serving delicious homemade food, drinks and cakes all day every day from 9am. We welcome guests to just pop in to the café for food or drinks, it's a great meeting place even if it's too cold for you to visit the farm itself! We also have our gorgeous Farm & Gift Shop packed full with some great gifts, toys, homeware items and other local artisan products, pop in and have a browse or why not shop while you wait for your food.

We are closed for a total of five days per year - on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Years Eve and New Years Day, we are open every other day of the year.

Season tickets are valid for a full calendar year from the date of purchase, these tickets allow UNLIMITED entry to the farm! It's a great way to keep the children entertained during the school holidays or just to allow them to run around after school. It enables you to get to know our animals from birth and learn all about them and watch them grow up! A season ticket pays for itself in just eight visits and makes a fantastic gift for someone special!

We visit Cholderton Charlie’s every few months at my daughters request. We lived quite far away – in Kent – so probably not as often as she’d like! Over the last few years we’ve noticed the Farm just get (bigger and) better! Staff are friendly and all the animals are great – we especially like when we get to see all the baby animals! I would 100% recommend any one with children pay a visit, really good fun 🙂
I visited here with my 20 month old who loved every bit of the day. Excellent value for money with so many animals to see and things to do. Every member of staff was friendly and approachable and the food in the café was great. Thank you for a lovely day!

Spent about 4 hours here with my other half & 2 year old daughter…. had a great time. Place is kept clean and tidy, staff are friendly and helpful & all the animals are in good condition. We had lunch in the cafe and the food was well priced and tasty. My daughter loved it and we would definitely go back again!
The Cheese Monkey, Salisbury
We have been a couple of times now with kids ranging in age. Toddlers through to 12 years old and everyone always has such a lovely day. Tractor rides, animal feeding, soft-play and treetop trail for the older ones. We ate at the cafe and the food is lovely, service is friendly and portions are just right for the cost! We shall be back again over the summer!

We’ve been going here for years, our daughters are now 6 and 3 and always have a great time. Plenty for them to do and entrance admission costs are very reasonable. Pig racing, tractor rides, tree walks, animal feeds and also a large cafe. They even had a fairy garden a couple of years ago. They are also very easy to get to as well which is helpful as opposed to having to get through traffic.

Went to Cholderton Charlie’s today after a friend recommended and was very impressed. 2 grandparents, 2 parents, 3 year old and a baby. We all enjoyed it. The activities are all morning ones and it suited us all. Makes complete sense to charge full price for toddlers as they have a good indoor Softplay and that alone would normally be £5 at a Softplay only place. Treetop trail was lovely. Says for over 8 but our 3 year old managed it.
Food was well priced and vegetarian friendly. Will be recommending this to any friends visiting the area.

We went to the farm in the Sunday of the Bank Holiday and unfortunately the weather was appalling…..… But oh my did we have fun here in the Play Barn we dropped the kids off whilst the dads went and got coffee and when we returned we had the most fun ever. We were the only ones there and it was Carnage, I will leave it there !!! The farm seems to be a great day out and we only experienced a fraction due to the rain but what we did see it was great. Will be back when the weather is better !!!!
We visited today with our three year old Granddaughter, we had a wonderful day. There is plenty to do, feeding the animals, indoor and out door play areas including trampolines, zip wire, tree top walk, arts and crafts, a tractor ride and more. We had a snack at lunch time from the restaurant which was very good. All the staff were very polite, friendly and helpful. In my opinion the visit was excellent value for money.
Visited here with my wife and 2 children aged 3 and 7, very reasonable prices for entry, we had a lovely day with lots to do feeding the animals, playing on the park, tractor ride, we managed to do all the activities on offer. It was a brilliant day out for our little family!
